About me
Through the beech, sassafras, maple, and oak forests, the rolling dunes of Michigan shaped me. They quietly dance on the landscape until they meet the Great Lakes. Between the dunes the frogs croak, snakes bask. The birdsong echoes.
Moving from the shores of Lake Michigan to Ann Arbor, I completed a B.S. in Earth and Environmental Science and graduated from the Honors College at the University of Michigan. From there, I moved to NYC to pursue a Ph.D. in Comparative Biology from the American Museum of Natural History.
Currently, I live in Brooklyn with my partner, our cat, and our dog. In my free time I read and write, as well as trying to get out of the city and into nature as much as possible.
I am happy to announce I’ll be starting a post doctoral position at Michigan State University this fall!
